Terms of Use

Effective August 3, 2026

These Terms govern your use of speedcards.xyz and the Speedcards game (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Who may use the Service

You may use the Service only if you can legally agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.

Permission to use Speedcards

Speedcards grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to access and use the Service for lawful, non-commercial entertainment. This permission ends when you stop using the Service or if your access is suspended under these Terms.

Fair play and acceptable use

When using Speedcards, you may not:

Display names

Your display name is visible to your opponent during multiplayer games. Do not use a real name or include contact details or other sensitive information unless you are comfortable sharing it with that opponent. You remain responsible for the display name you choose. Speedcards may reject or restrict names and may suspend access used for abuse.

Intellectual property

The Service's original software, visual design, written content, graphics, audio, and branding belong to their respective owners and may be protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of that material to you.

Speedcards is an independent online implementation of the traditional card game Speed, created by Tom C. Speedcards does not claim ownership of the traditional rules, ideas, systems, or methods of playing Speed.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains the limited information processed when you use the Service, including display names, connection information, temporary game state, and privacy-focused analytics.

Availability and changes

The Service may be changed, interrupted, limited, or discontinued at any time. Features and rules used by the online implementation may also change. Speedcards does not promise that the Service will always be available, secure, or error-free.

Suspension and termination

Access may be limited or suspended when reasonably necessary to protect players, enforce these Terms, investigate abuse, comply with law, or protect the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.

No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Speedcards and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or access arising from use of or inability to use the Service. Any liability that cannot legally be excluded remains limited only to the extent the law permits.

Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as the Service changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
