Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Speed by Tom C website and iPhone app (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Who may use the Service

You may use the Service only if you can legally agree to these Terms. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.

Permission to use Speed by Tom C

Thomas Coffman grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to access and use the Service lawfully and in accordance with these Terms.

Fair play and acceptable use

When using the Service, you may not:

• break the law or encourage unlawful activity;
• interfere with the Service, evade technical limits, overload servers, or attempt unauthorized access;
• use bots, scripts, modified clients, or automation against human players unless the Service expressly provides that feature;
• cheat, exploit defects, or deliberately disrupt games; or
• attempt to obtain another player's private connection or session information.

Preset names

During a multiplayer game, your opponent can see the preset player name you selected. The Service does not accept custom player names.

Intellectual property

The Service's original software, visual design, written content, graphics, audio, and branding belong to their respective owners and may be protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of that material to you.

Speed by Tom C is an independent online implementation of the traditional card game Speed. Neither the product nor its operator claims ownership of the traditional rules, ideas, systems, or methods of playing Speed.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains the limited information processed when you use the Service, including preset player names, connection information, temporary game state, website analytics, and optional support email.

Availability and changes

The Service may be changed, interrupted, limited, or discontinued at any time. Features and rules used by the online implementation may also change. The operator does not promise that the Service will always be available, secure, or error-free.

Suspension and termination

Access may be limited or suspended when reasonably necessary to protect players, enforce these Terms, investigate abuse, comply with law, or protect the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.

No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Speed by Tom C and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or access arising from use of or inability to use the Service. Any liability that cannot legally be excluded remains limited only to the extent the law permits.

Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as the Service changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
